Solo traveler looking for comfort
The views around the hotel are fine with hills on one side and the Loch very close. I had a fantastic breakfast, one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had and trust me, that speaks volumes.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was worth every penny, let me tell you.

the ben lawers hotel is in a great spot for walking munros. it's easy to find, just 8 miles past killin. the food was fantastic, and the breakfast was top-notch, especially the coffee! My favorite part was chatting with paul. he had interesting stories about the nearby mountains.

The location is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed climbing nearby Munros and appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. Plus, it was convenient having a lovely pub on-site to unwind after a day outdoors. Mum especially loved the airy family room we stayed in.
In my wife’s opinion, more flexible breakfast timings would be great for families.

Comfortable and clean, the Small Compact Double Room offered a cozy retreat after long days of exploring the stunning surroundings. The home-cooked breakfasts and delectable dinners, particularly the Haggis Pakoras, were culinary highlights that exceeded our expectations. The peaceful location near Loch Tay provided fantastic views and great opportunities for photography. access to certain trails was less convenient than anticipated, slightly limiting our outdoor activities.

this hotel is a great spot for walkers. the staff are super friendly and really helpful, and they made our dog feel right at home. the food was hearty and there was a good selection on the menu. also, the water pressure for the shower was spot on after a long day of hiking. It was nice n quiet at night. we could sit outside with drinks during the day which was lovely.
the room was a bit dated and the mattress could’ve been more comfy. i also wished there was a bit more choice for breakfast.

The stay provided stunning views and beautiful surroundings, making it an ideal retreat. The large food menu was impressive, particularly the delicious steak pie, and the cozy bar area, complete with a wood burner, added to the welcoming atmosphere. the room was quite compact, which may not suit everyone, and the decor was a bit dated. The absence of midges was a pleasant surprise, enhancing the outdoor experience.
